Crowns are fitted on top of teeth that might be damaged, discoloured, unfuctional or where appearances and shapes are bad and not symmetrical. The crown restores the tooth and protects it from further damage. Crowns are used also in cosmetical dentistry, for example to make smile design.

The bridge is made of crowns and its purpose is to fill space of a lost tooth. Bridge is anchored in place of neighbouring teeth to add artificial tooth to the empty space. In some occasions the bridge can be used instead of dental implants.
